Fix Setup Installer Package Access Denied Failure Error Code 0x80070005 (Or 5 Or 0x5)

When running an executable of setup installer or setup update package of various programs, installation process may fail with Access Denied error dialog message, or system responses or records in Event Log Viewer with error code 5 or 0x5 or 0x80070005, which all indicates Access Denied problem. Then the setup terminates itself, and installation process is rollback.

Restore Missing or Disappeared IE (Internet Explorer) Desktop Icon in Windows XP SP3

In Windows XP SP3 system, no matter it’s been upgraded from Windows XP with no service pack, SP1 or SP2 with XP SP3 standalone update package or Windows/Microsoft/Automatic Update, or user clean install from scratch with an integrated Windows XP with SP3 CD ISO image, the special desktop icon of Internet Explorer (IE) browser on desktop has gone missing. The IE desktop icon is different from normal IE shortcut, where IE desktop icon is special shell shortcut that provides quick access to Internet Options, and has shorter right click contextual menu.

Install Windows XP SP3 Without Product Key and Use for 30 Days Free with Retail CD

Microsoft is making good their promise to remove mandatory product key input during the installation or upgrading process of Windows XP operating system, in a new Windows Product Activation (WPA) process that similar to what implements in Windows Vista. However, only integrated Windows XP with Service Pack retail install or OEM CD can bypass the step to enter product key.
