BBC to broadcast Wimbledon final and semi-final matches in 3D Live Stream

Wimbledon Championships at the All England Club is ongoing now, since June 24, and the well-known broadcast service – BBC has confirmed it will broadcast selected matches, including the men’s and women’s semi-finals and finals live in 3D to homes across the UK.

With this announced, it is the first time that Wimbledon Championships will be transmitted in three-dimensional feed in history. The free-to-air 3D coverage will be available to viewers with access to BBC’s HD Red Button service and 3D supported set. Live streams are available across four devices – PCs, mobiles, tablets, and connected TVs. In addition, BBC’s HD Red Button channel will be available through the certain platforms for viewers on cable and satellite and Digital Terrestrial TV.

The matches included in the trial coverage will include:

Thursday, 4 July

1300-2000, Ladies’ Singles semi-finals – 3D

Friday, 5 July

1300-2000, Men’s Singles semi-finals – 3D

Saturday, 6 July

1400-1755 Ladies’ Singles final – 3D

Sunday, 7 July

1400-1800 Men’s Singles final – 3D
