Same for me. I tried the registration information for both sites (using the provided licence name and code).
The email specifies that the registration information will not work with the regular download but only with the "provided" version.
"1. Please note this license code will only work with the version of Desktop Maestro
that you received with this promotion. Please install the program by double-clicking
the setup file provided. "
