Microsoft Announces Xbox 360 First Gaming Console To Hit 10 Million Sales In US
The well-known American multinational computer technology corporation, Microsoft has announced that they have sold more than 10 million famous Xbox 360 game machine nationwide, becoming the first gaming console among its current-generation rivals such as Nintendo Wii and Sony PS3 to break the 10 million mark in US.
“This year will be the largest in the history of the videogame industry, with Xbox 360 leading the charge in the U.S. and abroad,” said Don Mattrick, senior Vice President of the Interactive Entertainment Business in the Entertainment and Devices Division, Microsoft. “History has shown us that the first company to reach ten million in console sales wins the generation battle. We are uniquely positioned to set a new benchmark for the industry.”
According to the company, the global sales of Xbox 360 is over 19 million units and it has hit 12 million Xbox Live (online gaming network) members worldwide.
