Microsoft Office Now Free Download for iPhone, iPad and Android With Editing Capabilities

Microsoft has finally announced a freemium version of Microsoft Office productivity suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) for the iPhone, iPad, and Android devices, which offering mobile device users the ability to view, create and edit office documents without required an Office 365 subscription or store documents in the cloud.

With the latest Microsoft announced, users can save around $84 per year which previously had to pay $6.99 a month for a non-business Office 365 subscription in order to use the apps full features on a mobile device. Unfortunately, fees are still in place for using the Office apps on laptop or desktop computers.

In addition to announced Microsoft Office free for iPhone, iPad and Android, Microsoft also partnership with Dropbox to integrate the cloud storage service into Office across desktop, mobile, and the web, where mobile devices users now can enjoy completely free for store all documents on Dropbox.

Furthermore, Microsoft Office for iOS devices are now universal which one download of the apps will allow it to work on both the user’s iPhone and iPad. The new Microsoft Office also work well to fit on the iPhone’s screen, with a Ribbon-like interface to allow all editing options to be accessed.

You can now download the new versions of Microsoft Office directly from iTunes App Store and Google Play Store, all coming with basic editing capabilities for documents. However, for more advanced editing features, users still need require an Office 365 subscription.
