LaCie Rugged XL – A 1TB External Hard Drive

LaCie has introduced its latest Rugged series hard drive, the Rugged XL. It is an external desktop hard drive with high-capacity storage space up to 1TB. That’s double the storage capacity of what the original model could hold. The Rugged XL is also extra large on its size compared with its older models.

The Rugged XL supports both Windows and Mac operating systems. Its setup is easy and effortless with ‘plug & play’ concept. The drive supports Hi-Speed USB 2.0 and the lightning-fast eSATA 3Gb/s interface that allows high-speed connection with your computer. In addition, various software are packaged with the Rugged XL, such as Genie Backup Assistant software for Windows users and Intego Backup Assistant software for Mac users as well as LaCie Setup Assistant.

The latest Rugged XL uses the same design as the original Rugged drive – an aluminum case covered by a bright orange rubber sleeve. The drive also features an internal bumper that protects the components from physical shock or impact. It also comes with heat dissipation features.
