I just trademarked the words "dumb" and "mistake. So, Ian, don't use them again, especially in reference to use of other words that are in the dictionary.

As of Jan09 MaxBlast5 appears to be much more functional than DiscWizard. MaxBlast supports Linux filesystems, supports browsing and selective file restores. And it has been around for longer so presumably has fewer bugs.
I can't compare to Acronis. I have the full version TrueImage10, but have have had problems getting it to recognize SATA drives. Only sees IDE. Techsupport responds to email quickly, but doesn't have answers once they've given you the stock "reinstall, add this new driver", which did not work for me. Hope MaxBlast, based on Acronis, is better.

NOTE: Disc -refers to optical Disc. a name trademarked by Philips.

Disk (with a K refers to magnetic disks such as Floppy and hard Disk.

Seems that many of you are confused and do not know which is which. So now that you know, do not make that dumb mistake again.
