I’m having trouble with ReadyBoost, the only values i got at EMDMgmt are,

(Default)
AllowNewCachesByDefault
GroupPolicyDisallowCaches

1# there are no other Devices
2# i tryed other forums

please help me out, i don’t want to reinstall Vista just becaus ReadyBoost doesn’t work.
i’m running with 2GB RAM at the moment,
but that ain’t enough >:)

I went to that registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\EMDMgmt

… and I found the branch of my USB device, so I deleted it as you asked, but when I reconnected the USB device, I didn’t find any new registry sub-key, just the parent folder (EMDMgmt) and three values into it:

(Default)
AllowNewCachesByDefault
GroupPolicyDisallowCaches

Why isn’t any sub-folder? Do you know what did I do wrong and/or how to fix it? Thanks!!

1. Find your device.
2. Change Device Status to 2
3. Change ReadSpeedKBs to 1000
4. Change WriteSpeedKBs to 1000

This is the method I use…maybe it is the same on different way. This is how i started with Vista prior to SP1 it still works for me today.
