New Dell XPS 730 H2C Playing Crysis At Full 1920×1200 Resolution

Good news for hard core gamers! The leading global systems and services company, Dell has announced the launch of its new (air-cooled) XPS 730 (starting at $3,999) and (water-cooled) XPS 730 H2C edition (starting at $4,999) premier gaming desktop, which can play Crysis at full 1920×1200 resolution and 30+ FPS with Quad Graphics, aiming to deliver an immersive gaming experience.

Highlights Of Dell XPS 730 And XPS 730 H2C:

  • The new NVIDIA nforce 790i Ultra SLI chipset with standard ATX motherboard, one of the industry’s most overclockable platforms for Intel processors
  • Optional factory-overclocked Intel Core 2 Extreme processors and Corsair DOMINATOR DDR3 memory
  • Support for a variety of optional high performance graphics solutions, including the ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 in four- way CrossFireX or NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT with SLI technology
  • Up to four hard drives factory installed, supporting a variety of high performance RAID arrays

“There is a measure of satisfaction involved in delivering products that meet the expectations of a unique set of customers who are incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, intense and competitive,” said Arthur Lewis, head of Dell’s gaming group. “With XPS and Alienware gaming systems we’ve been progressively delivering an awe-inspiring experience to gamers and now, with the XPS 730, we’ve set the bar for a truly kick-ass gaming experience.”

According to the company, “The optional patent-pending H2C cooling solution has also been enhanced. Originally co-developed by Dell, Intel, Delphi and CoolIT, the two-stage ceramic cooling solution has been redesigned to fit an ATX motherboard.”

Other enhancements of H2C cooling solution include:

  • Re-designed the CPU coldplate to provide more uniform cooling to all four processor cores, reducing the hottest core temperature when running at full load
  • Added an additional coldplate to cool the chipset. Lower chipset temperature helps improve stability with frontside bus overclocking
  • Added dynamic speed control to the pump and fans to help eliminate audible noise when the system is at idle
  • Added a separate fan to provide assured cooling to the CPU’s voltage regulator components
